Massage is a manipulation of the muscle tissue designed to relax the muscles and boost circulation. Many people experience tension every day and feel “knots” in their muscles. These so called knots are actually adhesions in the muscle tissue and fascia that can cause pain and block proper blood flow. Massage attempts to break up these adhesions and restore circulation to the muscle and fascia.

Many clients have asked me what type or style of massage I practice. That is a hard question to answer because my style is a combination of various techniques that I have learned over the last decade.

Swedish Massage is the most common type of massage offered here in the U.S. Swedish is what most of us think of as massage – lying on a table under a sheet being rubbed with oil. Swedish Massage is the first technique I learned and is the foundation of the bodywork that I do. I combine this with other techniques that I have subsequently studied, such as:
